How to create and how to modify themes

Note: You cannot edit or delete the Enlight.Default theme (the system will not allow you to).

To create a new theme:

  • Go to "ACCOUNT">"Organisation">"Themes"

  • Select "New Theme"

  • Set your theme information:

    • Give your theme a "theme group" to belong to if you wish - or set it blank - or leave it as the default ... you can come back and edit it at any time later

    • Give your theme a name - it needs a name (and the group + name must be unique) ... again you can come back and edit it at any time later - so no big deal

    • If you wish assign an owner to the theme (who created it/is responsible for it) - or leave it blank ... again, you can come back and edit it at any time later

    • If you wish add a comment about the theme (any special notes or instructions or whatever you like - or once again, you can just leave it blank, and you can come back and edit it at any time later

  • Option: Choose an icon collection and set. Some icon collections have only one icon set, others have a choice of more. Icons are previewed on the screen so you can see what they are. Some sets only have 4 type of icon - one for each step main type - other sets have a different icon for every step possible (!). Have a look, choose a collection, or set collection to "blank" to chose none. Again (as always!) you can come back and make a change at any time.

  • Set your desired settings:

    • You only need to select the ones you want - the ones you are not sure about leave blank for now (yep, you can come back and change them at any time!)

    • You will see a preview screen giving you a basic idea of what it will look like (this is not designed to be 100% perfect! but you should find it gives you a pretty good idea). Note that if you selected an icon collection random icons will appear in the preview - which actual icon appears for which course step is covered in the icons info on the screen and elsewhere.

  • Advanced:

    • If you see a setting you want to change but the choices are too limited (perhaps you want to use a company brand colour?) there is the option to manually enter (type in) settings. This requires a bit more skill/knowledge but it can be done - just untick the "Select from preset options" to be able to do this.

    • Make sure you scroll to the end and click "Save" before you tick the option again or anything

  • Once done, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Save" to save your theme

  • You will be taken back to the Theme listing page and see your new theme listed there.

    • You can use the filter options to show/hide columns, and use the "save" button there to save your favorite filter option.

    • You can sort some of the columns by clicking on their heading - click on it again to sort the other way!

    • Tip: One of the filter options is "Preview" allowing you to see the theme preview for all your themes right there on the main page!

Edit a theme:

  • To edit a theme just click the "Edit" link on the Themes list screen and edit it the same way as you created it

  • Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page to save your changes!

Delete a theme:

  • To delete a theme just click the "Edit" link on the Themes list screen and scroll to the bottom of the and select "Delete"
