Icon options:

You can:

  • Turn icons completely off

  • Turn icons on, and

    • select one icon set for your whole organisation (i.e. applies to all courses)

    • or allow individual course "override" so each course can use a different icon set

  • You can set if the icons show on the marking page or not

  • You can set it the icons show on the students pages or not

To find the settings for these:

All of this is done on the settings pages:

  • For your whole organisation:

    • Go to ACCOUNT > Organisation > Course settings > "Display steps icons for editing"

  • For each individual course (if you have allowed the "override" setting

    • Select your course then go to Edit > "Course Details" > Edit > "Turn this option on to allow the step icons to be viewed for this course"

Organisation settings:

  • Select the first option to enable/disable icons (by default it will be on)

  • Select the icon set to preview what the icons look like (you can click on each mini icon to see the slightly bigger view and if you hold the mouse over the icon it will tell you what step it is for)

  • If you wish, select the "Allow override" option to allow the icon settings to be set per individual course

  • Select if the icons will show on the marking pages or not (if "Override" has been set then this can be overridden by individual courses)

  • Select if the icons will show on the student pages or not (if "Override" has been set then this can be overridden by individual courses)

Individual 'per course' settings:

In each course setting you can see the default icon set (if any) and, if "override icons" has been set for the organisation then you can then change the settings

if override is off then you'll see the options are "greyed-out" as they are in this example screenshot - whatever the settings shown are the setting for all course and cannot be changed here in that case).
