Enlight will send you emails on a regular basis to remind you or alert you of various things. One of those is student activity - specifically chat messages and lesson answers that have not yet been read by an instructor (which may indicate they need following up etc.).
The emails sent out have been updated a lot now, and for managers they now list the messages by each instructor, clearly showing you whom each message is for and from whom, the links go back to the notification page so you can view them there, and a link to the below settings have been added (as well as the 'unsubscribe' option that was always at the end of the email and which is a shortcut to ticking the below 'Unsubscribe from emails about student activity' tick box). All in all you should find these emails, along with the options below, a great improvement.

Options:
You have two options if you are a manager and one option if you are an instructor.
These settings are found on the ACCOUNT >> Your Profile >> Options page.
Make sure you click "Update" to save any choice changes you make.
Managers:
Managers can subscribe to:
A full list of all messages unread (from all students for any instructor)
Or just to messages from their own students (i.e. for whom the manager is the course instructor)
Or no lists (no email) at all
Choices:
For the full list of all unread messages leave both tick boxes un-ticked
For only a list of unread messages of your own students tick the 'Unsubscribe from other instructors student activity' tick box
For no lists at all tick the 'Unsubscribe from emails about student activity ' tick box (you can leave the 'Unsubscribe from other instructors student activity' ticked or not - it doesn't matter)
Instructors:
Instructors can subscribe to:
A list of all unread messages from their students for (i.e. for whom they are the course instructor)
Or no list (no email) at all
Choices:
For the list of unread messages of your own students leave the 'Unsubscribe from emails about student activity ' tick box un-ticked
For no lists at all tick the 'Unsubscribe from emails about student activity ' tick box (there is no 'Unsubscribe from other instructors student activity' box for instructors)
